Lee Roy Selmon's Restaurant Opening Near Lutz
The popular eatery was founded by the late football legend Lee Roy Selmon.
If the drive to Boy Scout Boulevard or New Tampa deters you from eating at Lee Roy Selmon's restaurant, get ready for a closer trek to sample their famous barbecued ribs.
Lee Roy Selmon's restaurant is headed to Carrollwood.
The restaurant will open at 14457 N. Dale Mabry Highway near Bearss Avenue, where The Tilted Kilt closed its doors earlier this year.
Details are still being ironed out, but below is a statement from company President Sam Tancredi:
"In efforts to continue our expansion in the Tampa Bay area we finally found the perfect location in Carrollwood. We have been looking to come to this neighborhood for some time. Carrollwood is a family community with a great love of sports, which is a perfect fit for Lee Roy Selmon’s!
We look forward to serving Carrollwood with great food and great sports before the end of the year!"

We've always loved the Panera in Carrollwood, but one is needed in central pasco county, too. Land O Lakes, northern Lutz...There are lots of outparcels around the superwalmart sandwiched between US 41 and Dale Mabry.

Rods in Lutz, or Hungry Harry's are a better bet than any Leroy Selmons. We ent to the New Tampa location and the entire group (3 families) thought it was terrible food and service.
A Cheesecake Factory would be nice.
