Who's Lutz's Person of the Year?
TIME magazine named President Obama their person of the year for the second time. Tell us who you think should win from our town.
On Dec. 19, Time magazine named President Obama their Person of the Year— again!
The magazine invited votes on 40 candidates, including the president, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un. Other options included The Mars Rover and the Higgs Boson Particle, Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, and Apple CEO Tim Cook. But, the president took the title again, four years after he first won the award as president-elect in 2008.
But who cares about the same-old, same-old? Who is Lutz's Person of the Year—the man or woman who most influenced the community this year?
Tell us your pick in the comment section below.

Although I would have liked to see them choose Malala, seriously, "same-old, same-old"? As if there's someone in Lutz who's making a difference in comparison to people like the president or Malala. Time to unsubscribe from the Lutz Patch. You have officially become ridiculous.

So sorry you feel that way, RD. While it's hard to top the accomplishments of President Obama and other Time nominees, we do have plenty of people right here in Lutz that make a difference every day in the community. We'd just like to put a spotlight on them.

I think this is a wonderful idea and I would like to nominate Tianna Madison from your "Best of 2012" article. She is inspirational and I could not imagine a bigger stage than the Olympics - a worldwide event with the victory belonging to someone from Lutz?! That seems like a big deal to me. Sorry RD does not see that.
