Want to get a jump on your spring cleaning?
The GFWC Lutz-Land O' Lakes Woman's Club is happy to take unwanted items off your hands.
The group is preparing for its annual flea market, and members will be at the Old Lutz Schoolhouse from 9 a.m. to noon every Monday and Wednesday in February to collect donations for the event.
Clean, usable clothing and household items in working order are needed, according to a media release. Large appliances cannot be accepted.
The flea market will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 1-2 and March 9 at the schoolhouse, 18819 U.S. 41 in Lutz.
Items for sale will include antiques, collectibles, clothing, shoes, furniture toys, tools, and other items.
"This event is a very popular sale in the community where great bargains abound," the release stated. "You name it and we will have it at fabulous prices."
Proceeds from the flea market and other woman's club events support the community in myriad ways, from funding scholarships for local high school students to supporting Christian Social Services, local libraries and the fire department, club member Shirley Simmons said in a previous Patch interview.
