Flag Wavers Returning for Sept. 11 Observance

The GFWC Lutz-Land O' Lakes Woman's Club plans to show its red, white and blue spirit on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Motorists traveling through Land O’ Lakes and Lutz on Wednesday are likely to notice red, white and blue in a sea of green.

As America marks the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the members of the Lutz-Land O’ Lakes Woman’s Club plan to hit the road to show their support for the country, its service men and women and those who died in the attacks.

Club members have taken part in the visible patriotic display on every anniversary since the attacks, wrote Patricia Serio, the club’s spokeswoman, in an email to media.
