Artsy Summer Camps Come at a Discount

Families that sign up for summer camps at the nearby Carrollwood Cultural Center before April 12 will get a 15 percent discount on the regular prices.

Lutz residents who are looking for artistic outlets for their kids over the summer don’t have to drive far to find some options.

The Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Road, has a lineup of camps designed for kids. There’s even an added bonus for families that register early: those who do will get a 15 percent registration discount.

The Enchanted Kingdom of the Arts” summer camp starts June 10 and runs through Aug. 16. There are individual camps available for kids as young as 4 and as old as 16. There’s even early morning and extended care available for working parents.

“Campers will have the opportunity to create art projects, sing in musicals, perform a puppet show, and participant in other arts-based activities,” a media release from the center states.

The center also has some specialty camps planned, which include one on castle building, dedicated to LEGO fans. Other options include video game animation, taking part in a public art project, and learning more about musical theater.
