Lee Roy Selmon's Opens Close to Lutz

The restaurant held a special charity event on Tuesday night to celebrate its opening .

Looking for a new place to eat that's close to Lutz?

The newest Lee Roy Selmon's Restaurant is now open in Carrollwood.

The location at 14457 N. Dale Mabry Highway is poised to serve up hungry customers Mondays through Thursdays from 4 to 11 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

On Dec. 4, the restaurant held a pre-opening charity dinner honoring several Tampa sports icons and highlighting a partnership with the University of South Florida. The restaurant and school will work together to form a Lee Roy Selmon's mentorship program for student athletes.

The legends mural features Lee Roy Selmon, San Francisco 49ers Owner and philanthropist Eddie DeBartolo, Super Bowl Champion and five-time All-Pro Ronde Barber, WNBA champion and USF Athletics Hall of Famer Wanda Guyton; Three-time World Series Champion Lou Piniella, Two-Time Super Bowl Champion Freddie Solomon, Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Vinny Testaverde and legendary Chamberlain High School football coach Billy Turner.
