Walmart Under Construction Near Lutz
Work has commenced on the nearly 150,000-square-foot project.
Another shopping option is coming to the area.
A Walmart Supercenter is currently under construction at Nebraska and Bearss avenues near Lutz.
The roughly 15,000-square-foot proposal is slated to sit on the northwest corner of the intersection. A construction truck could be seen working on the site Monday.

A message left for a Walmart representative was not immediately returned.
According to a TBO.com article from January, Walmart was asking the county for 147,848 square feet, plus parking for 627 vehicles. It would also have a garden center, pharmacy and grocery.
