September 24th is National Voter Registration Day

The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office is joining more than 700 organizations in a national campaign to encourage citizens to register to vote or update their voter registration information. 

 

“The things we’re doing on National Voter Registration Day are things we do every day, but we are thrilled to see this national effort to make civic engagement part of everyday conversation,” said Craig Latimer, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.

On September 24th, elections office staff will host voter registration drives in conjunction with National Voter Registration Day in the following Tampa locations:

  • Supervisor of Elections Office, County Center, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd, 16th Floor (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

  • Elections Service Center, 2514 Falkenburg Rd. in Brandon (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

  • University of South Florida Marshall Center (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)

  • University of Tampa Vaughn Center (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)

  • North Tampa Branch Library, 8916 North Boulevard (12 – 5 p.m.)

  • Caregiver’s Senior Day at the Movies, AMC Westshore Plaza (11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.)

  • Citizenship and Immigration Services Naturalization Ceremony (1 p.m.)

 

National Voter Registration Day was first launched in 2012 to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right – the right to vote. More information is available at www.nationalvoterregistrationday.org.
