Man Broke Into Same Place Twice on Christmas Eve, Deputies Say

Less than two hours after making off with beer, he returned for pain medication, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

On Christmas Eve, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says that a man broke in to the same Walgreens twice in less than two hours. On the first trip, he made off with beer and cigarettes. Later, he broke into the pharmacy and tried to steal pain medication, according to a press release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

According to the release, on Dece. 24, at 1:29 a.m., a man between 30 and 40 years of age smashed the door of Walgreens, 3890 Van Dyke Road in Lutz.

Once inside, he took one case of Budweiser beer and two cases of Bud Light beer, they say. He also stole two cartons of Marlboro cigarettes before leaving the store, the release states.

Then, at 3:18 a.m., deputies say that the suspect returned to the Walgreens and broke the window to the pharmacy. At that point, deputies say he was removing pain medication from the pharmacy when the stores's alarm activated and he ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as being between 5'11" and 6'2" tall, weighing between 170 and 190 pounds. Deputies say he has a medium build and brown hair. They say he was ast seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and white shoes.
