Parents Cry Foul Over Ex-NFL Player's Website

Lutz resident and former offensive lineman Brian Holloway has created a website calling out the 300 teens who allegedly trashed his Upstate New York home. Now parents are crying foul. Who do you think is right?

Former NFL offensive lineman Brian Holloway wants to “save 300.”

Some parents, however, are threatening to sue the Lutz resident for his website that was launched in the wake of a Labor Day incident at his other home in Upstate New York. Over the holiday weekend, Holloway’s home was commandeered by 300 teens for a party that included underage drinking, drugs and vandalism – a lot of vandalism. Estimates have climbed as high as $20,000 to repair the damage.

In the weeks since the incident, Holloway launched HelpMeSave300.com, a website that calls on the teens involved to take responsibility for their actions. The site lists some of the names of the teens who are believed to have been involved and also has pulled in the social media photos and conversations the teens themselves posted while inside Holloway’s home on the night of the party.

Now, Holloway says some of the kids' parents are contemplating legal action against him.

"Your kids are in my house breaking and stealing my stuff and you are mad at me because I posted pictures that they took and posted themselves of them partying and tearing things up,” ABC News quoted him as saying.

Holloway explains on the Save 300 website that it’s his intent to effect a turnaround in the kids involved.

“It’s so easy for kids to get off track if we let them; being a real parent is a full time, no vacations, no breaks responsibility, for sure,” the former Patriots and Raiders player wrote on the site. “And we must teach our kids to be accountable.”
