Tampa Bay area residents who want to get in to hear President Barack Obama speak at Ybor City’s Centennial Park still have a chance.
Lacey Rose, spokeswoman for the Obama campaign, says free tickets for the Oct. 25 rally are still available.
While tickets for Obama’s rallies have traditionally been snapped up like hotcakes, Rose said distribution has been handled differently for the Tampa “America Forward!” event at the 1800 E. 8th Ave. park in Ybor.
“We’re doing it during the day so people have more time to get them,” Rose explained.
One ticket per person will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 24, at the following Obama For America Florida offices:
Ybor City Office
1702 N. 14th St.
11215 Bloomingdale Ave.
Temple Terrace Office
5246 E. Fowler, Suite 4
Egypt Lake Office
3105 W. Waters Ave, Suite 315
South Tampa Office
3825 Henderson Blvd.
Doors at the rally open at 7 a.m. on Thursday. Rose said the president is expected to speak around 9 a.m.
