As part of our new Smart Spending series, Patch wants to uncover the true going rate for various goods and services in town, so you'll know exactly how much you should pay for what you need. Help us out by replying in the comments.
This week: How much do lawn services cost? How much do you pay for your lawn service? And what does that cover - just mowing, or does it cover weeding, pruning, planting? Please share in the comments below - we promise we won't judge you! And if you've got a lawn service you love, tell us that, too. Looking for a lawn service? Be sure to check out the Lutz Patch Directory for companies that serve the area! This is the first of an ongoing series, "What's the Going Rate for..." where Patch seeks to uncover how much things cost so you never have to ask again.

The popular Lutz restaurant is closing its doors tonight, May 2.
After 17 years of serving up barbecue, burgers, bat and fried Spam, Hot Rods BBQ in Lutz is closing its door. It’s not going out without a bang, however. Owners plan a thank-you celebration for customers today, May 2, from 1 to 9 p.m. In addition to food and drinks, attendees will also get some entertainment courtesy of JT Curtis. “It’s a big loss to the community,” said Curtis, a son-in-law to Hot Rods' owner Rod Gaudin. Curtis will perform at 4 p.m. Thursday. Curtis, who has performed at the Livingston Avenue business “a bunch” of times over the course of its 17-year history, said the farewell gig is bittersweet: He is glad to help, but sad to see the business go. The 18430 Livingston Ave. business is closing its doors following a court …

Judi Fisher of Fisher Honey Bees introduces Patch readers to the animals on the family farm.
Judi Fisher and her family are known for the honey they sell in Lutz, Land O' Lakes and beyond. But, beekeeping isn't the Fishers' only pursuit. The family of eight also works hard raising other animals to put food on their table. From plenty of goats and meat rabbits to fish, chickens and a hydroponic garden, the Fisher family is a self-sustaining happy bunch of folks we are delighted to feature in Land O' Lakes Patch— and it was a pleasure spending time on the farm recently, learning just how the family does it all. Judi even let me jump on the rope swing ( I only scared a few goats.) Watch the video see the Fisher farm animals, and to see what else they have a lot of. Honey is available for local pick up at Jonathan Fisher’s …

Rich Bonet traveled the country before setting up shop in Lutz.
Every business owner has a story. Rich Bonet wears some of his. The owner of Studio 54 Tattoo in Lutz got his first ink as a University of South Florida college student about 18 years ago. “Working at the university golf course, I met an attorney who had a bold and bright tree frog tattoo,” Bonet said. “I was referred to this tattoo studio and quickly got my first tattoo. Then I got my second, and a third tattoo.” As a regular customer, Bonet developed a relationship with the owners and staff. So when the studio’s body piercer needed an apprentice, he was tapped for the job. “And so the journey began,” Bonet said. After graduating from USF, Bonet traveled the country, working at studios in Tampa, Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, and San …
No need to drive to Ybor City. The local shop features artists with more than a decade of experience.
On a sunny Tuesday afternoon at about lunchtime, Studio 54 is packed with customers, waiting to be inked. Clean and bright, the busy tattoo and piercing shop opened in Lutz in December 2011. Most people owner Rich Bonet talked to before opening the studio said they got their work done in south Tampa or Ybor. He and his wife, Alyssa, set up shop to fill a void in the market, and because they saw tremendous growth potential in the area. “We have two full-time tattoo artists and one full-time piercer, and we have guest artists all the time,” owner Rich Bonet said. Artist Jay Wyckoff has more than 15 years of experience and Bukshot has more than 13 years, Bonet said. Bonet is the studio’s body piercer. His experience dates back to his college…
